It has been decided to take the decisive war against drugs, ‘Yuddh Nashe Ke Viruddh’ campaign, launched by the Punjab government, to the next stage. Under this, defense committees will be formed in every village and ward of the state to fight against drugs. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will start this campaign from Ludhiana today.
According to the information, with the aim of completely eradicating drugs, the government has decided to form defense committees at the village and ward level. The number of members in these committees will be decided on the basis of population. There will be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 members in a committee. Retired soldiers, teachers and numberdars will be given priority in these defense committees. All of them will be given the responsibility of eradicating drugs from their respective areas.
