Punjab Police has busted a plot to stage a major terror incident in the state. Jalandhar’s Counter Intelligence team has averted a major terror incident after interrogating the arrested BKI module operatives. According to information, the Counter Intelligence team had arrested two BKI activists Hrithik Narolia and a minor from Rajasthan a few days ago. During investigation of their past links, an 86 P hand grenade was recovered. After interrogating the arrested accused, their accomplice Vishwajeet was arrested from Kolkata and Jackson from Nakodar, from whom the grenade was recovered.
All the accused were working on the instructions of Canada-based BKI kingpins Zeeshan Akhtar and Ajay Gill. Vishwajeet and Jackson had procured two hand grenades from Beas through their accomplices in late July, one of which was used to blow up a liquor shop in SBS Nagar 10 days ago. An FIR has been registered in this regard.
