A reserved holiday has been declared in Punjab on Wednesday, August 27. Actually, August 27 is ‘Samvatsari Day’, due to which the Punjab government has declared a reserved holiday. In the notification issued by the government, the holiday of August 27 has been included in the reserved holidays declared for 2025.
Let us tell you that the Punjab government has given 28 reserved holidays in the holiday calendar for the year 2025-26. According to the notification issued by the Punjab government, government employees can take any 2 reserved holidays out of these 28 reserved holidays.
The list of these holidays also includes the holiday of August 27. However, let us clarify here that this day is not a gazetted holiday in the state, but a reserved holiday. Due to this, schools, colleges and commercial units will remain open as usual. There will be no holiday in these institutions.
