The devotees who have been engaged in seva for the last 20 days to save the Ahli Kalan dam from breaking, are finally looking helpless in front of nature. The heavy rains for the last 2 days and the water being released from the Pong dam have broken all records in the Beas river and the devotees are repeatedly engaged in seva to save the Ahli Kalan dam. Chanting Waheguru Waheguru, the devotees are saying, “Waheguru meher karein.” The devotees engaged in heavy rains at the Ahli dam, despite the visible natural damage, are adopting every trick to save the dam through seva. Sarpanch Shaminder Singh Sandhu, Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Karanjit Ahli, who are engaged in the service of the dam, told that the dam near Shinde’s bank has been damaged and more than half of the dams have cracked, to save which from further damage, the congregation is engaged in seva. He said that for a moment it seems that the danger has been averted, but on the other hand when the fast flow of water in the Beas river destroys everything, then the courage fails. The rain in the hilly and plain areas has disrupted the life of the people and the danger of flood is looming.
He said that the hope of the whole area rests on the safety of this dam and if God forbids the dam does not remain safe, then the people of the constituency will suffer huge losses due to the flood, which will be very difficult to compensate. He said that there is no dearth of people for service, but if nature does not want, then who can stop it. Help of social organizations on saints and great men continues
Farmer leaders Paramjit Singh Baupur and Kuldeep Singh Sangra said that the help being given by the government is only in figures, while the truth is far away. The flood-affected people are sitting in open camps to save themselves because apart from the huge loss to the crops, saving people’s lives is now the priority.
He said that apart from the Sampradaya Kar Seva Sarahali Sahib, religious organizations, social welfare organizations, Shiromani Prabandhak Committee are continuously providing langar and other essential goods from Gurdwara Shri Ber Sahib, which has provided great relief to the people. The administration and officials are making fun of the people in the name of help, while the truth is far away. Farmer leaders Paramjit Singh Baupur and Kuldeep Singh Sangra thanked all the social welfare organizations and religious organizations and said that they have given a lot of support in this difficult time, but now the affected people have all kinds of material in abundance.
