There’s great news for young people in Punjab who want to become Agniveers. An Agniveer recruitment rally will be held from October 8th to 16th at the BSF Headquarters in Jalandhar. Youth from Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, and SBS Nagar are eligible to participate.
A recruitment rally exclusively for female candidates will be held on October 13th. The age limit for participation in this recruitment is 17.5 to 21 years, and the total service period will be 4 years. Certain physical standards have been set for candidates participating in the recruitment. Male candidates must have a minimum height of 170 centimeters and female candidates 162 centimeters. Men must have a chest measurement of at least 77 centimeters.
The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will include a 1.6-kilometer run, 10 pull-ups, zig-zag balance, long jump, and crossing a 9-foot-wide trench. The medical examination will require healthy eyes, ears, and teeth, and no serious injuries or scars on the body. The written examination will be MCQ-based, consisting of 50 questions with a one-hour time limit. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
This recruitment is open for Agniveer General Duty, Clerk, Technical, and Tradesman positions. Female candidates from Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to apply. Approximately 6,000 candidates are expected to participate in this rally.
