A tragic accident occurred in the city’s Bahadur Road area, where a powerful explosion from high-tension power lines claimed the life of one person and left another in critical condition. The incident occurred in Bajigar Basti while residents were busy with their daily chores. Suddenly, a massive explosion occurred in the high-tension wires, sending the surrounding area into a state of panic.
According to locals, upon hearing the explosion, people rushed to the scene, but by then, one young man had died and another was seriously injured. Upon receiving information about the accident, the electricity department and emergency services arrived at the scene. The injured were immediately admitted to the hospital, where their condition remains critical.
The accident has sparked outrage among residents over the negligence of the electricity department. They stated that complaints had been filed several times regarding the repair and safety of high-tension power lines, but the department had not taken any concrete action. At present, the police and electricity department team have started investigating the accident.
