. Punjab Police has further strengthened security in Amritsar city in anticipation of the festive season. Blockades have been set up at various intersections across the city, and police are conducting intensive checking operations in every street and neighborhood. In this regard, SHO of Police Station B Division, Baljinder Singh Aulakh, and ACP Anubhav Jain (IPS) held an important meeting with hotel owners and operators.
At the meeting, police officers issued strict instructions to hotel owners that legal action will be taken against those found operating gambling in any hotel during the festive season. Furthermore, if anyone solicits gambling in a hotel, they should immediately report it to the police.
The police also clarified that no room should be given to anyone without an identity card. If a person is found without an identity card during a police check, action will be taken against the hotel manager on the spot. Additionally, hotel owners must immediately notify the B Division police station if any suspicious person comes to stay at the hotel. If such information is not provided to the police and the police receive information from other sources, strict action will be taken against the hotel owners.
This police action has been taken to ensure peace and security in the city during the festive season. Hotel owners and operators have been appealed to cooperate fully with the police to maintain law and order in the city.
