Jalandhar traffic police have not learned their lesson even after the deaths of two young men in Kartarpur due to iron rods loaded in a trolley. Due to the negligence of the traffic police, iron angles loaded on e-rickshaws are posing a threat to life on the city’s roads. This incident occurred in the Ghazigull area.
Although the traffic police were unable to stop this e-rickshaw, when alert people saw it, they stopped it. People denounced the e-rickshaw driver for endangering people’s lives for a few bucks. After public protest, the e-rickshaw driver unloaded all the angles, but as soon as the crowd dispersed, he reloaded them and drove away.
If an accident or loss of life had occurred due to this e-rickshaw loaded with angles, would the administration have taken responsibility for the accident? It should be noted that in Kartarpur, a car traveling behind a truck loaded with rebars suddenly braked on the highway. Two young men sitting in the front of the car were killed when the rebar pierced them. The two men were traveling to Jalandhar for a religious ceremony.
