Amidst the horrors of the Russia-Ukraine war, a shocking case has emerged from Jalandhar, Punjab. Harvinder Singh, a resident of Mohalla Gobindgarh, went to Russia in search of a better future, but his dream has now turned into a nightmare. The young man is now claiming to be trapped in the Russian army.
A video of Harvinder has surfaced on social media, in which he says in a frightened and weary voice, “I didn’t come here to die… Send me back to India.” He has appealed to the Indian government and the Indian embassy to save his life. The young man’s family says that Harvinder went to Russia looking for work, where he was made to sign a contract to work for a construction company, but a few weeks later he realized that he had been forcibly recruited into the Russian army.
In his video, Harvinder revealed that he and several other young men have been sent to the war zone, where there is constant shelling and many people are injured. He said that staying there is like inviting death, and if help doesn’t arrive soon, their lives could also be in danger. The young man’s entire family is in deep shock.
