The police of Jodhewal police station have successfully arrested two accomplices of the terrorists arrested in the hand grenade recovery case. The arrested accused, Kuldeep Singh son of Jaspal Singh, Ramneek Singh son of Gurbaj Singh, Parvinder Singh son of Birsa Singh, Shekhar Singh son of Ninja Singh, and Ajay Kumar, were produced in court by the police and remanded to police custody for 3 days.
It is being said that Ramneek Singh and Parvinder Singh, who were imprisoned in Faridkot and Muktsar Sahib jails respectively, were brought to Ludhiana by the police on a production warrant. They had been in jail for a long time in connection with drug trafficking cases.
According to sources, Ramneek Singh and Parvinder Singh, who were in jail, were instructed by another terrorist to carry out this act to perpetrate a major incident in Ludhiana city. The hand grenade recovered by the police is said to be Chinese-made and is believed to have reached here through Pakistan via the Punjab border. It is being said that the police have obtained several important clues, including information about several terrorists linked to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. According to sources, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma may make a major disclosure regarding the five arrested terrorists on Thursday.
