In Ludhiana’s Gandhi Nagar market, on Thursday night, miscreants once again defied law and order, crossing all limits of hooliganism in broad daylight. Following a minor argument, more than a dozen thugs attacked a shop and vandalized it extensively. During the incident, the shop owner’s son was brutally beaten. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the shop.
According to reports, the victim, shopkeeper Mohammad Ayub, had gone out of his shop for some work. At that time, an auto-rickshaw driver parked his vehicle in front of the shop. When Ayub’s son asked him to move it, the driver became enraged and returned a short while later with more than a dozen accomplices. All the thugs together entered the shop, vandalized it, and attacked Ayub’s son. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, seized the CCTV footage, and began an investigation.
