The Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, announced by the Railway Department, is soon going to run on the tracks. The railway department has released the timetable for this train, and the date of its commencement will be announced soon. This train will run 6 days a week, excluding Wednesday. The train will depart from Firozpur Cantt at 7:55 AM and reach Delhi at 2:35 PM. The return train will depart from Delhi at 4:00 PM and reach Firozpur at 10:35 PM. The train will have stoppages in both directions at Faridkot, Bathinda, Dhuri, Patiala, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, and Panipat stations.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Gurupurab, the railways have given another gift to Firozpur. The Railway Board has given the green light to the decision to run the Intercity train from Moga to New Delhi from Firozpur, and this train will start running from Firozpur in November. This was disclosed by BJP National Executive Member Dr. Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi. He said that this train, which will run two days a week, will greatly benefit the people of Firozpur and the surrounding areas.
Rana Sodhi said that according to the letter issued by the Director Coaching of the Railway Board, Sanjay R. Neelam, this train will depart from New Delhi station at 7:00 AM and reach Firozpur at 3:00 PM, via Jakhal, Ludhiana, and Moga. Similarly, it will depart from Firozpur at 3:35 PM and reach New Delhi station at 11:35 PM. The department has completed all preparations for this train, which will run two days a week, on Monday and Friday. The central government is paying special attention to the development of Firozpur. Sodhi said that before March 2026, the people here will also receive the gift of a PGI Satellite Center, and the OPD will start functioning.
