Fearless thieves are committing these crimes without any fear of the police. It is worth noting that incidents of theft are rampant in the Daurangala police station area under the Dinanagar assembly constituency, creating an atmosphere of fear among the residents. Last night, in Daurangala town, thieves broke into approximately 11 different shops in a single night, stealing cash and other goods. The incident was also captured on CCTV cameras. Giving information in this regard, the affected shopkeepers and an elderly man stated that when they arrived at their shops in the morning, they saw that goods were scattered outside the shops. They informed the other shopkeepers, who then collectively informed the police. The police also arrived at the scene, but surprisingly, the CCTV cameras captured images of two people who broke into 11 shops within about an hour, committed the thefts, and fled the scene. However, this is not the first incident in the Daurangala police station area. The previous day, a Gurdwara Sahib was also targeted by thieves. But despite the CCTV footage going viral, the police seem to be empty-handed. On this occasion, all the shopkeepers have demanded that the police administration arrest the thieves as soon as possible because their shops are their only source of livelihood, and the way the thieves broke into the shops and fled the scene within an hour is shocking. A police checkpoint is also located a short distance from here. Meanwhile, the Station House Officer of Daurangala police station has arrived at the spot and is taking stock of the entire incident.
Major crime committed under the cover of darkness in the district, creating an atmosphere of fear among the people. Incidents of theft are increasing day by day in Punjab.
