Punjab Government takes major action, suspends ADC of this district

Strict action has been taken against the Deputy Commissioner of the district. According to reports, the Punjab government has taken major action against Charumita, the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Municipal Commissioner of Moga. Following allegations of embezzlement related to land, the Punjab government has suspended DC Charumita with immediate effect. As per government orders, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Moga and Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Moga have been suspended from government service under Rule 4(1)(a) of the Punjab Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1970. According to the information, during the suspension period, the officer will receive allowances as per the provisions of Rule 7.2 of the Punjab Civil Service Rules, Part I, Section 1. During the period of suspension, the officer’s headquarters will be Chandigarh and they will not leave their headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority.
