In the brutal murder of an e-rickshaw driver by unknown assailants in the Baba Gaddia area of Phagwara on the night of October 27th, Phagwara police have claimed to have solved the mystery of the blind murder and have arrested three of the killers involved in the murder. Speaking with Punjab Kesari in Phagwara, Superintendent of Police Madhavi Sharma stated that on the night of October 27th, unknown assailants shot and killed Kuldeep Dhanwar, an e-rickshaw driver from Sukhchain Nagar Primary School, Phagwara.
During the police investigation, it has emerged that the murder was committed with the intention of robbery. Superintendent of Police Sharma stated that the killers had purchased a bottle of liquor from a liquor shop in village Bhullarai and were drinking at Dana Mandi, Phagwara. When the e-rickshaw driver was passing through the area, they stopped him near the Baba Gaddiya facility with the intention of robbing him. They shot him and fled the scene on a motorcycle.
The e-rickshaw driver, Kuldeep Dhanwar, was then brought to the Civil Hospital in an injured condition for treatment, where he later died during treatment. The arrested accused have been identified as Harman Singh, son of Surjeet Singh, resident of Nasirabad, Police Station Rawalpindi, Phagwara; Inshwinder Kaul alias Baba alias Ishu, resident of Patara, District Jalandhar Rural; and Aman, son of Karnail, resident of Jethpur, Police Station Patara, District Jalandhar Rural. Harman Singh has two previous cases registered against him at the Behram Police Station and Goraya Police Station. Accused Ishwinder Kaul alias Baba alias Ishu has cases registered against him at the Lambran Police Station in Jalandhar District and the Behram Police Station in Shaheed Bhagat Singh District.
Similarly, police cases are registered against accused Aman at the Lambran police station in Jalandhar Rural district and the Bahram police station in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district. He said that after committing the murder, the three killers rode a black Splendor motorcycle without a number plate and went to Harman’s home in Nasirabad village. The accused will be produced in court and taken on police remand, and they are likely to reveal more sensational details in the police investigation. The police are investigating the matter.
