In view of the Nagar Kirtan to be held in Phagwara on November 22nd to commemorate the 350th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Phagwara Police have implemented extensive route diversions in the city to maintain smooth traffic flow. The police have also released a special diversion map to the media for the convenience of travelers.
According to information, these traffic diversions will be in effect from morning on the main GT Road, Hoshiarpur Chowk, Mehli Bypass, Bhullarai Chowk, and several other major roads in the city during the Nagar Kirtan. Phagwara Police have strongly appealed to motorists to use designated alternative routes to avoid traffic jams and inconvenience.
The diversion routes are as follows:
1. Diversion A: Ebanga Road → Bhullarai → Mehli Bypass → Phagwara City
2. Diversion B: Hoshiarpur Road → Ludhiana Road → Bhullarai Chowk → Mehta Bypass → GT Road
3. Diversion C: Sugar Mill Chowk → Urban Estate → U-Turn → Phagwara City
According to the Phagwara Police, these traffic routes have been issued to ensure the smooth conduct of the Nagar Kirtan and proper traffic management. Additionally, additional police forces will be deployed at various important locations to ensure traffic disruptions.
