Case of drug money worth Rs. 1.25 crore missing from the storehouse: Arrested clerk’s remand extended

Following the expiry of the previous remand of Munshi Gurdas Singh and his accomplice Manoj Kumar alias Mangu, the police of Sidhwan Bet police station produced them before the Honorable Jagraon Court today. The court remanded Manoj Kumar alias Mangu to 14 days of judicial custody, while extending the remand of the main accused, Munshi Gurdas Singh, for three days and ordered his return to police custody.

District Police Chief Dr. Ankur Gupta announced that the three-member committee formed to investigate the case, led by Superintendent of Police (D) Harkamal Kaur, has so far recovered Rs. 1.3 million of the stolen drug money from Munshi Gurdas Singh’s home, while the police have also recovered Rs. 6 lakh from his accomplice Manoj Kumar alias Mangu.
