The administration has taken major action against a factory manufacturing concrete bricks and interlocking tiles, which was built without any permission in Khajurla village of Kapurthala district. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kapurthala has declared the construction completely illegal and issued a demolition notice for the built-up concrete factory.
The ADC clearly states in the notice sent to the factory owners that neither a CLU (Change of Land Use) was obtained for this factory, nor any building plan was approved. According to officials, the factory owners were previously issued a notice on September 29, 2025, asking them to submit the relevant documents within 30 days, but none were submitted within the stipulated period.
Now, a second notice has been issued under the PAPR Act, giving them 30 days’ time. The ADC He issued a stern warning that if the factory owners do not demolish the illegal construction themselves, the administration will demolish it itself, and the entire cost will be recovered from the factory. It is noteworthy that a complaint about this illegal factory was filed by RTI activist Karanpreet Singh with the Principal Secretary, JDA Administrator, and Estate Officer, following which an investigation was initiated, field staff visited, and this action was taken.
