Police are conducting raids to find the agent.
In a complaint to the police, Madhav, son of Rajneesh Chandra, resident of Harnamdas Pura, stated that he had applied for a work permit in Canada at Venture of Pacific Immigration in Mohali. They had promised to send him to Canada on a work permit, for which he was asked for 1.584 million rupees. It is alleged that the money was paid to the travel agent at various times, after which the agent gave him a three-month guarantee.
It is alleged that when his work permit did not arrive even after three months, the agent began procrastinating and stopped answering his phone. After the victim filed a complaint with the police, a lengthy investigation was conducted and a case was registered against four travel agents: Ajay Sehgal, son of Ashwani Sehgal, resident of Ramnik Avenue; Randeep Kundal alias Rishi, son of Surinder Kumar, resident of Guru Nanak Pura; Sunny Talwar, son of Madan Singh, resident of Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh; and Rakesh Kumar, resident of SAS Nagar.
