Incidents of theft and robbery are on the rise in Jalandhar. One such case has come to light near Babu Jagjivan Ram Chowk, where a migrant laborer’s motorcycle was stolen. It is reported that the victim, Deepu, had paid the final installment for the motorcycle just one day prior to the incident.
According to Deepu, he had parked his motorcycle near Guru Hargobind Enclave and gone to buy vegetables. In the brief span of just 5 to 10 minutes, the culprits carried out the theft. The victim stated that he had been paying installments for the bike for the past three years, and it had only just become fully his own. Deepu has filed a complaint with the police regarding this matter. The police have stated that they are scrutinizing CCTV footage from the area and expect to apprehend the culprits soon.
