The weather in Punjab has taken a sudden turn, bringing much-needed relief to residents from the heat. Light rainfall and cool winds across several parts of the state have led to a drop in temperatures, making the weather pleasant.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain moderate for the time being; however, temperatures may rise again in the coming days, causing the heat to become palpable once more. According to the Chandigarh center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), some areas may experience light rain and cool winds today. Nevertheless, no specific weather warnings have been issued for April 1 and 2.
Meanwhile, a significant change in weather patterns is expected once again on April 3. In view of the possibility of strong winds, lightning, and rainfall across the entire state during this period, a ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued.
