The Ludhiana Police claim to have solved the case regarding the brutal murder of Congress leader Parminder Tiwari, which took place on March 29 in Takhran village, under the jurisdiction of the Kumkalan police station. Special police teams have successfully arrested the prime accused responsible for executing this sensational murder from Bihar. According to official sources, DCP Jaskaran Jeet Singh Teja is set to make major revelations regarding the entire case—piecing together the various links of the investigation—during a press conference scheduled for this afternoon at the Police Lines. This murder had spread panic throughout the entire region, as the attackers carried out the crime with extreme brutality.
During the investigation, a shocking video also surfaced, in which the prime accused—identified as Vijay Kumar alias Ajay—is seen walking through the village streets with an axe slung over his shoulder, appearing to be in an intoxicated state, just one hour prior to the murder. According to CCTV footage, the accused was roaming fearlessly through the village at 5:47 PM; exactly at 6:45 PM, he launched a frenzied attack on Parminder Tiwari, striking him repeatedly on the head with the axe and taking his life. The victim’s family members allege that Ajay had been loitering around the village for the past 15 days, conducting reconnaissance on Tiwari. At the time of the incident, the accused Lucky was driving the motorcycle, while Ajay carried out the axe attack. Following the murder, both accused fled the scene and went into hiding in Patna (Bihar), where they were eventually apprehended by the police after an arduous search operation.
The findings revealed in the post-mortem report are spine-chilling. The attackers inflicted a total of six consecutive blows to Parminder Tiwari’s head with the axe; the force of the assault completely shattered his skull, causing parts of his brain matter to spill out. Eyewitnesses recount that the blows were so powerful that Tiwari did not even get a chance to scream, collapsing to the ground after the very first strike. Even after he had fallen, the accused continued to strike him repeatedly. The absence of injury marks on any other part of the body indicates that the accused’s sole motive was to take the victim’s life.
The police are currently investigating three primary theories regarding this murder case. The first theory centers on a dispute over Panchayat land. The accused, Ajay, had illegally encroached upon Panchayat land to construct a house and had demolished a government-owned room to incorporate it into his own residence. This issue had led to an ongoing dispute between him, Parminder Tiwari, and the Sarpanch’s husband, Jagdish—a matter for which a case is currently pending in court. On the other hand, an international call received on Tiwari’s mobile phone shortly after the incident has left the police perplexed. The caller had directly inquired about Tiwari’s well-being, thereby intensifying suspicions of a contract killing. Furthermore, the angle of a long-standing political rivalry is not being ruled out, as Tiwari had been active in village politics for a considerable period, and the accused is reported to be closely associated with his political adversaries. It is now through police interrogation that the true mastermind behind this bloody crime will be revealed.
