A major road accident occurred early this morning outside Dada Hospital, near the city’s Pathankot Chowk. The incident took place when a truck, in an attempt to avoid colliding with a tractor-trolley, lost control and crashed into a wall, resulting in severe damage to the vehicle. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in this accident, and the driver escaped unhurt.
Accident Caused by Loss of Truck’s Balance
According to reports, the truck was traveling from Nakodar towards Hajipur at approximately 6:00 AM. Suddenly, a tractor-trolley appeared directly in front of the truck. The driver immediately swerved to avoid hitting the tractor-trolley; however, due to the sudden loss of balance, the truck crashed into a wall situated along the roadside.
Police Arrive at the Scene
Following the accident, the driver of the tractor-trolley fled the scene. The impact of the collision was so severe that the truck’s cabin and chassis were badly mangled, while the wall also sustained damage. Upon receiving information about the incident, the truck owner, Bahadur Singh, along with the police, arrived at the spot. The police stated that an investigation into the matter is underway, and statements from both parties are being recorded. Further action will be taken following the conclusion of the investigation.
