The raid conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the residence and business premises of Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora lasted for 29 hours. Following this, the ED team departed from his home today at 11:50 AM. According to reports, these raids were carried out across a total of 13 locations, spanning the districts of Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Gurugram, and Chandigarh.
**Action Initiated Under Money Laundering Laws**
According to sources, this operation by the ED is being conducted under the provisions of the Money Laundering Act. Preliminary information also suggests that the Minister is suspected of using his political influence to provide patronage to an illegal betting network in Punjab and of deriving financial benefits from it. However, official confirmation regarding this matter is still awaited.
