The District Police have achieved a significant success by arresting two accused individuals found in possession of heroin and drug money. The Gurdaspur District Police scored this major breakthrough today when they stopped a car based on suspicion and conducted a search. During the search, 257 grams of heroin, ₹32,000 in drug money, and a small digital weighing scale were recovered from the vehicle.
In this regard, Gurdaspur SSP Aditya stated that the police had set up a roadblock (Naka) near the Paniar Sugar Mill. At that moment, a Tata Safari car was spotted approaching from the direction of Dinanagar. It was stopped on suspicion. Upon questioning the two youths inside the car, they identified themselves as Karan (son of Daniel Masih) and Phillips Masih (son of John Masih), both residents of Christian Mohalla, Awankha.
The SSP further explained that during the search of the vehicle, a plastic packet found inside the dashboard was examined, leading to the recovery of 257 grams of heroin, ₹32,000 in drug money, and a digital weighing scale. He added that a case has been registered against the accused, and the car has been seized as the investigation into the matter proceeds.
