Punjab has been experiencing power outages for the past several days. The department had previously announced power cuts in various cities to facilitate maintenance work. However, significant news has now emerged: the Electricity Department has issued directives to halt the power cuts that were previously announced for maintenance purposes. The newly issued orders state that no work (PTW) involving 11 kV lines or higher will be permitted until April 30 without the written approval of the Zonal Office.
According to sources, the department has cancelled all previously scheduled shutdowns with immediate effect. Issuing strict instructions for compliance with these orders, the department directed that all maintenance work be halted immediately and that power supply be restored as soon as possible.
