The Gurdaspur District Police achieved a major breakthrough today with the arrest of the prime accused involved in the robbery that took place at a jeweler’s residence in Hudda Colony on March 5, 2026. District Superintendent of Police Aditya stated that the accused was produced before a court and has been taken into police remand.
The accused has been identified as Gurpreet Singh, alias ‘Goli’, a resident of Kotli Surat Malli. There are already 17 cases registered against the accused across various police stations, including charges related to murder, robbery, and violations under the NDPS Act. The accused is currently not cooperating with the interrogation. He claims that the jeweler whose house was robbed is exaggerating the actual value of the cash and jewelry stolen. The Superintendent of Police stated that the investigation is proceeding, examining every aspect of the case.
