Gurugram to Noida in Just 38 Minutes! ‘Namo Bharat’ Trains to Run at 180 km/h… ₹15,000 Crore Project Given the Green Signal

Date:

The Haryana government has granted final approval to the ‘Namo Bharat’ RRTS corridor, which connects Gurugram, Faridabad, and Noida. This major project, estimated at approximately ₹15,000 crore, is set to drastically reduce travel times within the National Capital Region (NCR)—cutting journeys that currently take hours down to mere minutes.

In particular, the commute from Gurugram to Noida currently takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. Upon the completion of this project, this travel time will drop to just 38–40 minutes. Similarly, the journey from Gurugram to Faridabad, which currently takes over an hour, will be completed in a mere 20 minutes in the future. Trains on this corridor will operate at speeds of up to 180 km/h and will be available at intervals of every 5–7 minutes.

This project is not limited merely to accelerating travel; it is also being viewed as a significant catalyst for economic growth. It will establish direct connectivity between industrial cities like Gurugram and Faridabad and Noida’s thriving tech and business hubs.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued directives to expedite the preparation of a detailed project report for this initiative. The corridor will span a total length of 64 kilometers, with 52 kilometers of the route situated within Haryana. A total of 18 stations are planned for construction along this route. The system is designed to allow both RRTS and Metro services to operate on the same tracks, thereby ensuring optimal utilization of both financial resources and land. According to the Haryana government, construction work is scheduled to commence in December 2026, with operations expected to begin in 2031. Once completed, this project will yield immense benefits for the public, making their daily commutes significantly easier and faster.
