The administration has provided significant relief to candidates appearing for the police recruitment examination. Travel fares on Roadways buses operated by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will be halved. This benefit is available only to candidates who possess an admit card. Bus conductors are required to record the admit card numbers and enter the details into the Electronic Ticket Machine (ETM).
Police Recruitment Exam Continues Until June 10
The police recruitment examination began on Monday. A total of 19,286 candidates are registered across 11 centers in the district, with the majority arriving from other districts. Although the first shift commenced at 10:00 AM, the entry process began at 8:00 AM; consequently, a large number of candidates from other districts arrived by bus on Sunday night or early Monday morning. Every candidate is eligible for the fare concession on Roadways buses. While Roadways bus arrangements were made for everyone, information regarding this specific concession had not been publicly announced earlier. On Monday morning, the Corporation made the details of the fare concession public. Sanjeev Kumar, Assistant Regional Manager (ARM) of the Mainpuri Depot, stated that any candidate presenting a valid admit card would be granted a 50% discount on the fare. Conductors on the respective buses will record this transaction in the ETM.
