Fluctuations in gold and silver prices continue. According to the Jalandhar Bullion Association, the price of 24-carat gold reached ₹1,51,600 on Friday, while 22-carat gold rose to ₹1,40,990. As for silver, the price hit ₹2,48,900 today.
Meanwhile, there has been a significant surge in prices on the MCX. Gold prices rose by ₹1,234 to reach ₹1,50,166 per 10 grams, while silver saw a jump of ₹3,341, trading at ₹2,42,994 per kilogram. Prices for both metals have also surged in the international market.
In the national capital’s bullion market, gold prices fell for the second consecutive day on Thursday. Investor sentiment remained subdued due to escalating tensions in West Asia; gold prices dropped by ₹2,100 to settle at ₹1.53 lakh per 10 grams. According to market experts, the price of 99.9% pure gold fell by ₹2,100 from Wednesday’s closing rate of ₹1,56,000 per 10 grams to ₹1,53,900 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes).
