Amarjit Singh Sandoa, the former MLA of the Rupnagar assembly constituency, has alleged that a sitting MLA of the current government is orchestrating a calculated conspiracy to tarnish his political reputation.
Speaking to journalists, Sandoa mentioned that a case was registered some time ago against a hotel in Sri Anandpur Sahib, and his name was baselessly dragged into the matter.
Sandoa stated that some journalists published his name in the media regarding this case without seeking his side of the story, even though he has absolutely no connection to the hotel in question. He clarified that he has neither any involvement in the hotel business nor any knowledge about the establishment.
What did former MLA Sandoa say?
The former MLA explained that, subsequently, due to political pressure, the police administration issued him a notice regarding the matter. He stated that he had never even seen the hotel in question, nor did he know its location. Sandoa alleged that the sitting MLA of Rupnagar is pressuring the police administration to link his name to the case. He expressed surprise that the notice issued to him reached the media before it even reached him, raising questions about the police’s functioning.
He asserted that he has consistently raised his voice against the MLA’s alleged blackmailing and hooliganism, and is being targeted out of a spirit of vendetta because of this.
Sandoa reiterated that he has no connection to the hotel and stated he is even willing to take an oath at the holy shrine of Peer Baba Zinda Shaheed Ji to confirm this fact.
