Demonstrating its robust organizational strength and the unity of its cadres once again, the Jalandhar Urban Youth Congress accorded a grand welcome to Punjab Youth Congress President Shubham Sharma at four different locations across the city. Despite persistent rain and a delay of nearly two hours in his arrival, hundreds of Youth Congress workers waited with great zeal and enthusiasm, welcoming him warmly.
Speaking to the media, Angad Dutta, District President of Jalandhar Urban Youth Congress, said, “Today, our workers have proven that every member of the Youth Congress is working with complete loyalty and dedication to the organization. The workers’ enthusiasm did not wane in the slightest despite the continuous rain and the delay in the program. It is this energy that inspires us to further strengthen the organization and raise the voice of the youth.”
On this occasion, Punjab Youth Congress President Shubham Sharma expressed special gratitude to the Jalandhar Urban Youth Congress workers, stating, “I arrived in Jalandhar with a delay of nearly two hours, yet the Youth Congress workers of Doaba waited for me with great patience. Despite the incessant rain, hundreds of Youth Congress workers were present to welcome me at four different locations. This welcome event is clear proof that, under the leadership of Angad Dutta, the Jalandhar Urban Youth Congress has become a highly active and strong organization. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the colleagues who waited for me in the rain and welcomed me with such enthusiasm. It is on the strength of such dedicated workers that the Punjab Youth Congress will grow even stronger.”
Shubham Sharma further added that as part of his “Shukrana Yatra” (journey of gratitude), he would pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Amritsar, and Sri Durgiana Mandir to offer prayers for the prosperity, peace, and progress of Punjab. He stated that he has set out to seek the blessings of the people and the Guru Sahib in acknowledgment of the trust placed in him by the party leadership, and that he would further strengthen the Youth Congress organization across Punjab. Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Saini, Vice President of the District Congress Committee (Jalandhar Urban), remarked that the enthusiasm and discipline displayed by the Jalandhar Urban Youth Congress workers were commendable. He stated that the massive turnout of party workers, despite adverse weather conditions, is a testament to the growing strength of the Congress organization.
