The Punjab Police has launched the third phase of ‘Operation Prahar’. Under this initiative, search operations are being conducted across Punjab in areas notorious for drug abuse. Efforts are also being made to arrest individuals declared absconders in various cases.
In Gurdaspur, the City and Sadar police stations conducted a joint search operation—led by DSP Shahbaz Singh—in areas known for drug activity, such as Mohalla Islamabad, Chanan Shah Cremation Ground, and Man Kaur Singh. During the operation, every corner of the suspected areas was searched, and several individuals were taken into custody. According to DSP Shahbaz Singh, details regarding the recoveries made and arrests effected during the operation will soon be shared with the media.
