The BJP MLA from Loni received a threatening call on the day of Raksha Bandhan. It is alleged that the caller threatened to enter his home to kill him, blow him up with a bomb, and used abusive language. The MLA’s supporters lodged a complaint at the Loni police station, demanding action against the accused caller. Acting on the complaint, the Loni police have registered a case and are attempting to identify the accused using the mobile number.
Loni BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar stated that on the afternoon of August 28, he was sitting with Anurag, a resident of Chiraudi, when he received a call from an unknown person. The MLA said that upon answering, the caller used abusive language and threatened to enter his house to kill him and blow him up with a bomb.
Caller made multiple calls after the initial disconnection
It is alleged that even after the MLA disconnected the call, the caller rang him several times. When the MLA asked for his name, the caller subjected him to verbal abuse. Subsequently, Anurag—a resident of a village within the Loni police station area—filed a complaint at the station demanding action. The Loni MLA noted that the individual making the threats already has criminal cases registered against him, including charges of extortion. Loni ACP Amardeep Maurya confirmed that a case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the MLA’s supporter.
Efforts underway to arrest the accused using the mobile number
Efforts are being made to arrest the accused based on the mobile number; the accused will soon be arrested, and the case resolved. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Supreme Court lawyer and BJP leader Nazia Elahi Khan tied a *rakhi* to MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar, setting an example of the *Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb* (syncretic culture).
