Angered by the non-declaration of results, six students climbed a water tank located on the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University campus late Wednesday night. Police tried for a long time to persuade them to come down, but the students remained adamant about their demands, leading to a chaotic situation on the campus that persisted late into the night.
The students had gathered on the campus around 9 PM to press for their demands. During this time, a heated exchange took place between them and the police. The students expressed outrage, alleging that the police had used force against them. Subsequently, six students climbed the water tank. Upon receiving the news, Congress leader Mohit Uniyal arrived at the scene and appealed to the students on the tank to come down. He remarked that had the students’ issues been resolved in a timely manner, they would not have had to resort to such an aggressive form of protest.
The students state that their future is being jeopardized due to the delay in releasing the results. This is not the first time students have taken such a step regarding their demands; they had previously staged protests by climbing the water tank twice in August. Despite this, the lack of a resolution has left the students feeling frustrated and angry.
