Akhilesh lashes out at the dilapidated state of JPNIC; says neither past nor future generations will forgive the BJP
The Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC)—a dream project of former CM and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav—was opened on Wednesday after a gap of nine years. Images showing its dilapidated condition are going viral on social media.
The SP chief targeted the BJP over the poor state of the JPNIC. Sharing a post on the social media platform ‘X’, he raised sharp questions regarding the BJP’s policies and mindset.
Taking aim at the BJP, Akhilesh Yadav remarked that the party’s stagnant mindset only gathers moss or rust. He alleged that, on one hand, there is a history of those who acted as informers for colonialists against the martyrs of the freedom movement—standing in opposition to freedom fighters—while on the other, the BJP’s regressive and narrow outlook opposes modernity and progress. The SP chief further wrote that neither past nor future generations would forgive the BJP and its associates, while they are already guilty in the eyes of the present generation. Concluding his post with the phrase “BJP Khatam” (BJP Finished), he registered his strong political opposition to the ruling party.
It is worth noting that CM Yogi had recently ordered the leasing of the JPNIC to private companies.
