Keeping the convenience of daily commuters in mind, Northern Railway has decided to extend the Ludhiana Junction-Jakhal Junction passenger train up to Jind Junction. Train numbers 54053 Up and 54054 Down will now operate beyond Jakhal to Jind.
The Railways has released a new timetable for the extended route. There are no changes to the train’s timings between Ludhiana and Jakhal. Train number 54054 Down will depart from Ludhiana at 6:30 PM and reach Jakhal at 9:40 PM. It will then depart from Jakhal at 9:45 PM and reach Jind Junction at 11:30 PM, passing through Himmatpura, Tohana, Kalwan, Dhamtan Sahib, Dharodi, Narwana, Ghaso, Uchana, Gaon Baroda, and Barsola. On the return journey, train number 54053 Up will depart from Jind Junction at 3:40 AM. It will depart from Barsola at 3:50 AM, Gaon Baroda at 3:54 AM, Uchana at 4:02 AM, Ghaso at 4:08 AM, Narwana at 4:16 AM, Dharodi at 4:25 AM, Dhamtan Sahib at 4:34 AM, Kalwan at 4:40 AM, Tohana at 4:47 AM, Himmatpura at 4:55 AM, and Jakhal at 5:20 AM before reaching Ludhiana.
According to Northern Railway, the extension of train number 54054 (running from Ludhiana) up to Jind will be effective from September 11. Meanwhile, train number 54053 Up will operate on the newly extended route from Jind to Ludhiana starting September 12. Commuters from nearby areas will benefit from improved connectivity.
