Acting against drug and illegal weapon trafficking, the Fazilka police arrested three youths in the jurisdiction of the Fazilka Sadar police station. Police recovered two Glock pistols, magazines, four live cartridges, and 50 grams of heroin from the accused. According to the police, the accused had procured these weapons from Pakistan using a drone.
SSP Gaganajit Singh stated that on September 11, a police team led by ASI Ramesh Kumar—operating under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Hardev Singh (SHO, Fazilka Sadar)—was conducting patrols and checks on the Fazilka-Ferozepur road.
While patrolling, the team reached an HP petrol pump and spotted three youths standing near a Hero Splendor motorcycle. Upon seeing the police, the trio started the motorcycle and attempted to flee. Acting on suspicion, the police apprehended and searched them.

During the search, police recovered two Glock pistols, magazines, four live cartridges, and 50 grams of heroin from the accused. The arrested individuals have been identified as Varinder Singh (alias Ravi) of Machhiwara, and Ranjit Singh (alias Jeeta) and Nishan Singh (alias Dhamu), both residents of Bare Ke. All three belong to the Ferozepur Sadar police station area. A case has been registered against them at the Fazilka Sadar police station, and an investigation is underway.
The SSP stated that during initial questioning, the accused revealed they had procured the illegal weapons from Pakistan via drone on September 4. The police are now working to identify other individuals involved in the supply chain of these weapons and heroin.
Additionally, the role of individuals based across the border is being investigated. Police stated that further action will be taken based on facts that emerge during the investigation.
