Ropar constituency MLA Dinesh Chadha established direct contact with villagers by holding public outreach meetings in Maddho Majra and Bahadurpur. During these visits, he listened to the residents’ concerns and demands while also reviewing the status of ongoing development projects in the villages. The villagers drew the MLA’s attention to various local needs and issues.
At these meetings, MLA Dinesh Chadha handed over grant cheques worth ₹8 lakh each to the Gram Panchayats of Maddho Majra and Bahadurpur, totaling ₹16 lakh for development projects across both villages. He stated that these funds would be utilized for development works, keeping the villages’ priority needs in mind.
The MLA emphasized that rural development is a top priority for the government, and continuous efforts are being made in this direction. He explained that the objective of these public outreach meetings goes beyond merely meeting the people; it aims to gain a close understanding of village-level issues and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
He noted that the actual needs of the people are being prioritized when selecting development projects; work is being carried out as required to improve roads, lanes, drains, sanitation, drinking water facilities, street lighting, and other basic amenities. He also highlighted that public participation is being ensured in the development of the villages.
