With the path cleared for the ₹38-crore flyover project, construction work is set to gain momentum. Vehicle movement on the Badlapur-Prayagraj route had been hindering the construction of the flyover at Railway Crossing 23C (Bhaluahin), located west of Shrikrishnanagar Railway Station on the Zafarabad-Sultanpur rail section.
Following a complaint by MLA Ramesh Chandra Mishra regarding construction delays, the Railways suggested a route diversion; alternative routes have since been repaired and readied for use. The main road will now be completely closed to fast-track the construction work. The project, costing approximately ₹38 crore, had been hampered by heavy traffic pressure on the busy route; the continuous flow of vehicles past the construction site prevented the work from progressing at the desired pace.
The MLA had raised the issue of construction delays with railway officials, who identified vehicle movement as a major obstacle. Alternative routes were made suitable for traffic before the main road was closed.
Vehicles are now being diverted via these alternative routes. This will reduce traffic pressure at the construction site, allowing the flyover work to proceed rapidly. Once completed, the flyover is expected to provide relief to the public from traffic jams and the need to wait at the railway crossing.

“With the closure of the main road to traffic, flyover construction will proceed at a faster pace. Our aim is to complete this project quickly and hand it over to the people of the region.” The MLA had previously raised the issue of construction delays with railway officials.
