The Bihar School Examination Board has extended the deadline for registration and permission applications for students appearing in the Annual Secondary Examination 2028. Regular and independent category students currently studying in Class 9 can now submit their online registration and permission applications from September 25 to October 9.
The Board has taken this decision in the interest of the students. Previously, the application deadline was set for September 24. During this extended period, heads of recognized schools can register eligible students on the Board’s portal using their user IDs and passwords. The prescribed fees for registration and permission applications can be deposited until October 8. For students whose fees have already been paid, online applications can be submitted up to October 9.
**Mandatory upload of signed declaration form**
This time, the Board has implemented special arrangements to ensure the accuracy and verification of student details. For students registering during this period, the pre-filled declaration form must be downloaded, signed by the student, the parent or guardian, and the school head, and then mandatorily uploaded to the Board’s portal. Only then can the registration and permission application be finally submitted. Students who have already paid the fee but have not yet submitted the application can also complete the process and upload the declaration form during this period.
**Subject selection errors: Same subjects will apply for the exam**
The Board has instructed students to exercise great caution when selecting subjects. For the 2028 examination, applications and fees will be accepted only for the specific subjects under which the students are registered.
Under vocational education, subjects such as Security, Beautician, Tourism, Automotive, Retail Management, Electronics & Hardware, Beauty & Wellness, Telecommunications, and Information Technology & ITES have been included as the eighth subject. These subjects can be selected only by students studying in the designated schools.
