A harrowing accident has been reported from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. A massive fire broke out in a rented house on Saturday morning, suspected to be caused by an LPG cylinder leak. Six members of the same family, including four young children, suffered severe burns in the incident.
According to the police, the accident occurred on Saturday morning in the Vinayaka Layout area. The six family members, originally from Raichur, were living in the house as tenants.
How did the accident happen?
Police stated that the family was cooking in the morning when gas suddenly began leaking from the LPG cylinder, and a fire flared up almost instantly.
The victims of this tragic accident have been identified as 40-year-old Karilingappa, his 42-year-old wife Lakshmamma, 11-year-old Chaitra, 9-year-old Basava, and 3-year-old twins Geeta and Girija.
Treatment Underway at Hospital
Upon receiving information about the incident, senior officers from the Chandra Layout police station immediately arrived at the scene to assess the situation. All the injured were promptly admitted to a nearby hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Fortunately, according to the doctors, everyone is currently out of danger.
