Patna Metro has completed one year of operations. The first metro service was launched on October 6, 2025, running from ISBT to Bhootnath. Over the course of this year, the metro network has expanded from ISBT to Malahi Pakri. During this period, 337,885 passengers have travelled on the Patna Metro.
Every ticket, journey, and destination over this past year has added a new chapter to the story of the Patna Metro. Expressing gratitude for the passengers’ trust and cooperation, the metro authorities stated that this journey will continue to move forward. Network Expanded from ISBT to Malahi Pakri: Initially, metro operations began on the route from ISBT to Bhootnath. Later, the service was extended to Malahi Pakri, providing a large part of the city with access to metro services. The fact that passenger numbers have crossed the 3.37 lakh mark upon the completion of one year reflects the growing acceptance of the metro. In its message, the metro administration emphasized that the support of passengers has been crucial throughout the journey from the very first trip to the present.
As it marks its first anniversary, the metro looks forward to taking this journey further in the coming days. Patna Metro is now working rapidly towards launching another station; preparations are underway to open the Khemnichak station to the public. It is expected that this station will be opened for passengers by December.
