A real estate businessman in Mohali was cheated of Rs 1.69 crore. On the complaint of the victim, City Kurali police station has registered an FIR against the partner under sections 406 and 420 of IPC.
In a complaint to the police, Rahul Saini, a resident of Phase-5, SAS Nagar, said that he is involved in the real estate business. In 2018-19, Harvinder Singh expressed his desire to work with him in partnership. After this, a firm named M/s Golden Bricks was formed, in which Harvinder had 75% and Rahul Saini had 25% stake. In this case, a complaint was given to Mohali SSP Deepak Parik, after which a case was registered in the matter.
Fraud of Rs 1.69 crore
Rahul Saini told the police that Harvinder Singh misused the banking information of M/s Golden Bricks and transferred Rs 1.69 crore to the accounts of Nifty Group owner Harvinder. Apart from this, no account was given for Rs 1.20 crore by selling 9 kanal 12 marla land.
Units sold without license
Rahul said that both of them bought 11 acres of land on Kharar-Kurali Highway, where a commercial project called Grand Radio was launched. Harvinder Singh sold 34 units without taking RERA license. When he objected to this, Harvinder ignored it, after which I withdrew all my official powers (Authority Letter) and also informed the administration.
Sales continued even after court order
Rahul Saini sent a legal notice on June 6, 2024 asking Harvinder Singh to return the amount taken illegally. When no response was received, he filed a petition in the Mohali District and Sessions Court.
The court ordered on July 11, 2024 that no part of this project should be sold or promoted until further orders. But despite this, Harvinder Singh changed the name of the project to Nifty Group and continued selling secretly.
