Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav shared a post on social media praising the bravery of Gurdaspur SSP Aditya (IPS) and his team. SSP Aditya and his team acted with calm in a highly dangerous situation and prevented a major tragedy.
During the incident, an attacker was armed with an AK-47. He had killed his wife and mother-in-law, causing panic in the surrounding area. In such a difficult situation, SSP Aditya personally arrived at the scene and led the entire team to ensure no one else’s life was endangered. Upon arriving, he assessed the situation while maintaining a safe distance and attempted to subdue the attacker by negotiating with him. His understanding, patience, and excellent leadership ensured the situation was handled without any collateral damage.
Many lives were saved due to his swift and appropriate action. The Punjab Police is proud of his bravery, dedication, and commitment to public safety. For this heroism, SSP Aditya (IPS) has been awarded the Director General’s Commendation Disc (DG’s CD).
