The owner of a Western Union in the local city shot a man who had come to his shop after an argument with Kuwait over a transaction amounting to crores of rupees. The injured man has been admitted to the Civil Hospital, while the Tarn Taran City Police Station has started investigating the case. It is noteworthy that when this incident occurred, his four-year-old niece was also present with the injured man, who narrowly escaped death.
Suraj Prakash Singh, son of Savinder Singh, a resident of village Duburji, said that he had given around Rs 1 crore to the owner of the Western Union located in front of the cinema to send currency abroad, but the shop owner was neither sending his money abroad nor returning it.
Suraj Prakash said that when he arrived at the shop with his neighbor and his 4-year-old niece around 7:30 pm on Tuesday, he had an argument with the shop owner. The shop owner fired his pistol, intending to kill him. A bullet pierced his leg, leaving him covered in blood. Suraj Prakash said his friends immediately took him to the Civil Hospital. ASI Satnam Singh of City Tarn Taran Police Station said the police have launched an investigation. Suraj Prakash is undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital.
