Following the historically cold night of April 8th—a rarity in the city over the last 50 years—the weather is now beginning to take a new turn. According to the Weather Department, while mornings and evenings in the city remain cool, day temperatures have begun a steady upward trend. Over the next five days, the maximum temperature in the Tricity is expected to reach up to 36 degrees Celsius. On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.7 degrees—3 degrees below normal. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.4 degrees—6 degrees below normal. This explains why a slight chill is still being felt during the mornings and late into the night. Additionally, there has been no rainfall over the past 24 hours.
