The discovery of a CCTV camera mounted on a pole along the Amritsar-Manawala railway track has caused alarm among the RPF, GRP, and civil police. The RPF has seized the camera and launched an investigation, treating this sensational matter with seriousness.
According to reports, GRP personnel were conducting a routine check on the Amritsar-Jalandhar section yesterday evening when they spotted a CCTV camera attached to an OHE (Overhead Equipment) pole at kilometer marker 508/23, located between Amritsar and Manawala.
Subsequently, teams from the GRP, RPF, civil police, and ARP arrived at the scene. The RPF has taken the camera into custody. The area falls under the jurisdiction of the GRP. The investigation is currently underway, and no FIR has been registered yet.
