Roadways bus service from Kanpur Dehat’s Mati Depot to Farrukhabad to start soon; relief from illegal passenger vehicles
Travelers from the district heading to Farrukhabad will no longer need to rely on illegal passenger vehicles (*daggamar* vehicles). Furthermore, they will not be required to travel to Kanpur to catch a train for this journey.
The Transport Corporation will soon launch a bus service from Mati Depot to Farrukhabad. A survey has been conducted, and the plan involves operating buses from Mati Depot via the Rura and Rasulabad route. The process of assigning drivers and conductors for this route has already begun.
Buses currently operate from Mati Depot—located on the Jhansi-Kanpur Highway—to destinations such as Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Auraiya, and Etawah, facilitating the movement of a large number of passengers. However, the lack of a direct bus service to Farrukhabad has caused inconvenience to the public.
Travelers have had to rely on illegal passenger vehicles or travel to Kanpur to catch a train. The commencement of bus operations from Mati Depot will provide much-needed convenience. The Transport Corporation has initiated preparations and completed the route survey. The bus will travel from Mati Depot through Akbarpur and Rura, pass via Mindakuan to reach Rasulabad, and then proceed to Farrukhabad.
Drivers and conductors familiar with this route will be assigned to the service. ARM Mohammad Ashfaq confirmed that the bus service to Farrukhabad is being launched. The survey is complete, and the new service will benefit travelers from the district.
