This is the first time a businessman’s house has been attacked
Let us tell you that this is the first case when a grenade attack has been carried out on a businessman’s house. Three youths riding a bike fled after throwing a hand grenade at the house of liquor businessman Pappu Jantipuria living in village Jantipur under police station Kathunangal at 7:48 pm.
The incident of attack has been captured in the CCTV installed there. Pappu Jantipuria died two months ago. His family lives in the house.
Happy Pashia took responsibility for the attack
SSP Charanjit Singh has confirmed the attack. He said that who carried out this blast will be known after the report of the forensic team. At the same time, terrorist Happy Pashia, who lives abroad, has taken responsibility for this attack.
He posted on the Internet that liquor contractors have opened many shops near the Guru Ghar. The businessman was asked several times to stop the liquor business but he did not agree. NIA has placed a reward of Rs 5 lakh on terrorist Happy Pashia.
Gumtala police post was also attacked
It is worth noting that before this, a grenade was also thrown in Amritsar on Thursday. On Thursday, two youths riding a bike attacked the Gumtala police post of Amritsar Commissionerate with a grenade.
Opposition raised questions on law and order
After the attack, both the accused fled. Opposition leaders are on the offensive over the attacks happening every day in Punjab. Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former minister Vikram Singh Majithia has raised questions on the law and order situation in the state.
He wrote on CM Mann’s x handle that this is the second blast in Majitha. The family was being extorted by gangsters for a long time and threats were being given to kill them if they did not pay.
